NICU RN Job in McKinney, TX

You'll join Medical City McKinney as a registered nurse in the NICU, caring for neonates in a Level III setting. This is a 13-week travel assignment offering stability and flexibility in your schedule.

Role Overview

You'll work 3x12-hour day shifts (7 AM to 7 PM) with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Self-scheduling is available, and there are no on-call requirements. The NICU is located on the 2nd Floor of the Main Hospital. You'll manage a patient ratio of 2:3 and may float as needed to support unit operations.

Clinical Requirements

• 2+ years of hospital or specialty nursing experience
• Level III NICU experience required
• Ability to attend deliveries, including C-sections
• Proficiency with BCPAP and HFNC equipment
• Meditech and CPN documentation experience preferred
• Current BLS, NRP, and active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)

Compensation & Details

Weekly pay is $2,080. The assignment runs 91 days, with a start date of September 14, 2026.

Dress Code & Professional Standards

Royal blue and/or white scrubs are required. Nails must be clean, healthy, and free of artificial enhancements, gel, or gel-like coatings. Hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; if shoulder length or longer, it must be pulled back. Beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be clean and neatly trimmed. Body art should be covered whenever possible. Visible piercings other than earrings are not permitted, including nose and tongue rings.
