PCU Registered Nurse Job in Charleston, WV

CAMC Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its 16-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU), also known as Intermediate Care (IMC). You will care for adults and geriatric patients with a variety of medical and some surgical diagnoses, including cardiac, pulmonary, renal, gastrointestinal, and sepsis conditions.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 day shifts, 7:00 AM start time
• Weekdays with every other weekend required
• 36 or 48-hour contract options available
• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Weekly pay: $1,944
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: November 30, 2026

Unit Environment

• 3:1 patient ratio on days, nights, and weekends
• Telemetry monitoring with dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Ventilator management required
• Special equipment experience needed: patient lifts, bed and chair alarms
• Charting system: Cerner
• Scrub color: Royal Blue/White

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Valid WV or Compact nursing license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)

Scheduling and Orientation

• Open to accommodating blocked schedule requests
• Holiday RTO requests limited to no more than 1 of 3 major holidays
• Orientation held every other Thursday
