NICU RN Job in San Bernardino, CA

St Bernardine Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 91-day travel assignment in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). You will work three 12-hour shifts per week on days, with hours from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. Every other weekend is required, and you will rotate holidays with permanent staff.

Role Details

• Work in a Level III NICU with 20 beds
• Care for patients with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Titrate drips and manage ventilators (respiratory therapy available on unit 24/7)
• Read and interpret cardiac strips
• Chart in Cerner EMR
• Support common diagnoses: congenital abnormalities, feeders/growers, and ventilated patients
• Access to on-site neonatologist, pharmacy, and respiratory therapy 24/7
• Charge nurse present; you will not be expected to take patients
• Subject to first to float policy

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience at Level III or above
• BSN not required
• Current BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Ventilator experience required

What to Expect

You will receive three shifts of floor-specific orientation. There are no nurse aides on the unit, and no IV team available; you will start an IV lines as needed. Wear navy scrubs.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,695.68. Your assignment begins November 9, 2026.
