NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with day shift hours of 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or night shift hours of 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Night shift position with every other weekend requirement
• Expected to work holidays on a rotating basis with permanent staff
• Level III NICU with 20 beds
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with Level III or above NICU experience
• Must be able to read and interpret monitor strips
• Responsible for managing drips including titration
• Ventilator management supported by Respiratory Therapy
• Neonatologist on-site 24/7
• Respiratory Therapy available on unit 24/7
• Pharmacy available 24/7
• Charting completed using Cerner EMR
• Common patient diagnoses include congenital abnormalities, feeders and growers, and ventilated patients
• Charge nurse role available and does not typically take patients
• No floating required
• 3 shifts of floor-specific orientation provided
• Scrub color required: Navy
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), NIHSS
