Telemetry RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

Mercy Hospital South is seeking an RN for a 13-week travel assignment on its Heart & Vascular Recovery Telemetry unit. You will work nights on a 3x12 schedule (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) with 36 guaranteed weekly hours. This position requires every-other-weekend availability and float capacity to similar or lower acuity units as needed. No call requirements.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
• Monitor and care for post-procedural cardiac patients, including STEMI recovery, cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and vascular patients
• Manage an 8-bed unit serving critically ill patients before and after intervention
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 (estimates, not guarantees)
• Coordinate care activities with ancillary departments
• Uphold patient rights and maintain confidentiality
• Operate general monitoring equipment and EKG devices
• Document in EPIC EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Current Missouri RN license (or eligibility for Missouri licensure)
• Minimum 2 years stepdown/ICU cardiac experience
• Demonstrated cardiac rhythm proficiency and ability to identify cardiac emergencies
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA only

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years cardiac telemetry experience
• Pre- and post-cardiac care expertise
• Cardiac step-down unit background
• Experience with TR bands and sheath removal
