ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts in the Emergency Room
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float within facility per scope of practice and to sister facility as needed
• Self-scheduling unit
• Patient ratio of 5:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• 25-bed Emergency Room with a daily census of 120
• Minimum 1 year of experience required - first time travelers accepted
• Must be proficient with Epic charting system
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Required skills: BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, and triage
• Treat patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
• 12 orientation hours required
• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, traveler is expected to work those holidays; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, traveler is expected to work two of them
• GA or Compact nursing license required
