RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Patient population: Adults to Geriatrics
• Specialty focus: Renal Med Surg
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 with 49 rooms and an average daily census of 48
• Required certifications: BLS
• Required systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Every other weekend required unless specified otherwise
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• Holiday coverage expected: if 1-2 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work 2 of them
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as one), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as one), New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counts as one)
• Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube care, heparin administration, high flow nasal cannula, insulin administration, isolation precautions/PPE, telemetry, wound care/wound vac, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure management, and more
• Special equipment: Lifting equipment
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required
