PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• 13-week contract
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, typically to higher acuity units
• Low census eligible in hour increments, typically in 4-hour increments; may be asked to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift
• Contract end day is Sunday, not Saturday
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Care for patients with conditions including stable/weaning vents and trachs, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, stroke, and primary patients on insulin drips
• Heavy telemetry monitoring required
• Minimum 2+ years of experience required
• Stepdown, intermediate, or PCU experience required
• ICU experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Ventilator and trach experience required
• At least 1 prior travel experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted
