Telemetry RN Job in Maryville, Tennessee

Prisma Health Blount Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Telemetry position in Maryville, Tennessee. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with every-other-weekend coverage required.

Role Overview

You will care for adult and geriatric patients in a combined med-surg and telemetry unit that specializes in stroke and TIA care, along with higher-acuity medical-surgical patients. Your staffing ratio will be 1:6 on nights. Float assignments to other units may occur based on operational need and your skill set.

Patient Populations and Diagnoses

You will treat patients with stroke, TIA, seizure, syncope, pneumonia, chest pain, dialysis needs, acute kidney failure, post-cardiac catheterization status, respiratory failure, encephalopathy, congestive heart failure, and sepsis.

Clinical Skills and Procedures

You will perform specialized procedures including peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation. Required competencies include:

• Accessing and managing ports
• BiPAP and CPAP management
• Blood product administration
• Central line blood draws
• Chest tube management
• Colostomy and ileostomy care
• Continuous bladder irrigation
• Cardiac and cerebrovascular assessment
• Feeding tube care and heparin administration
• High-flow nasal cannula delivery
• Insulin administration
• Dysrhythmia interpretation
• Isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Cardiac drip management
• Telemetry and remote monitoring
• Wound care and wound vac management
• Rapid response and code team participation

Requirements

• Active Tennessee RN license
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience
• Minimum 1 year EPIC EMR experience
• Previous charge nurse experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications

Compensation and Duration

Weekly pay is $1,981. Assignment duration is 91 days, with a start date of November 2, 2026. The facility uses Omnicell for medication management.
