PCU RN Job in Omaha, NE

CHI Health Immanuel seeks a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit. You will work 3×12 night shifts (6:30 PM to 7:00 AM or 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM) with every other weekend and every third holiday requirement. No on-call or standby duties.

The 35-bed PCU serves adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, diabetes management, and continuous EEG monitoring needs. You will manage patient ratios of 1:4–5 with nursing aides and patient care technicians at 1:10 or 2:20. Your responsibilities include titrating drips such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications, as well as floating to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed.

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications
• Valid driver's license at time of submittal
• No artificial nails in patient care areas

Onboarding includes one week of general preparation followed by 1–2 days of unit-specific floor orientation. You will complete a pass/fail open-book exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% required to pass. The unit uses EPIC for charting.
