PCU RN Job in Morgantown, WV

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at WVU JW Ruby Memorial Hospital, caring for higher acuity neuroscience patients including those with strokes, seizures, craniotomies, and epilepsy monitoring needs.

Schedule & Duration

• 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule required
• Holiday rotation participation expected
• 91-day contract beginning September 7, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,341

Unit Details

• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 on stepdown and 1:5-6 on EMU floor
• Possible floating to units 7E, 7W, 7NE, or 10W
• 2-shift unit orientation provided
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Charge nurse and nurse aides available 24/7 with aides at 1:8-9 ratio
• Telemetry present; RNs not required to read strips
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 for floor ventilation; vent experience not required

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Strong neuroscience experience, including stroke patient care and NIH Stroke Scale implementation
• NIHSS certification required at time of submission
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• EPIC charting system experience required
• EVD experience preferred
• Driver's license address must be outside 50 miles from facility
• BSN not required
