PCU Progressive Care Unit RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a travel assignment running 89 days, beginning November 9, 2026.

Assignment Details:

• Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit (Observation)
• Location: BUMC Phoenix, 1111 E McDowell Rd, Phoenix, AZ
• Schedule: 3x12 hour night shifts per week
• Weekly Pay: $2,541
• Duration: 89 days

Role Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Review patient history and physical with patient and family; ensure timely completion
• Review diagnostic and laboratory data; report abnormal results to physicians and caregivers
• Formulate individualized plans of care, including discharge planning, using assessment data and patient/family input
• Implement care plans through direct patient care, coordination, and delegation of healthcare team activities
• Provide nursing supervision to licensed nurses and personnel as appropriate
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; revise plan of care as needed
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and quality improvement initiatives
• Precept and mentor staff to support professional growth

Required Qualifications:

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Experience in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the PCU specialty area
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
