Telemetry RN Job in Springfield, MO

You will work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM as a Telemetry RN at Mercy Hospital Springfield. This travel assignment runs for 182 days, with three 12-hour shifts per week and a weekly pay rate of $2,365.20. You are guaranteed 36 or 48 weekly hours as indicated on your submission form.

Unit and Patient Care

• Provide direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care and patient confidentiality
• Patient ratios: nights 1:6 to 1:8 (estimates, not guarantees)
• May float to highest need unit on a rotational basis
• No call requirements; weekend hours as required by facility

Requirements

• 1 year of inpatient Telemetry experience
• Current RN license eligible or currently licensed in Missouri
• Experience and competence in drug titration required
• BLS from AHA only and 4 trauma credits (must be completed within first two weeks if not already obtained)
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• ACLS from AHA preferred
• Trauma experience preferred (inpatient only)

Work Conditions

• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift; you must be available the entire orientation week
• EMR system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Black; torn clothes, open-toed shoes, and non-scrub attire are not acceptable
• Physical demands include standing and walking most of the time, bending, stooping, lifting and turning patients with assistance, and pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs

Time Off Policies

• RTO will not be approved in the first week of assignment and must be made up at the end
• Only 1 holiday RTO request permitted per assignment
