Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work five 8-hour night shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• On call as needed
• 5 years of experience required
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including falls, sepsis, UTI, pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, and CHF exacerbation
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and valid CA RN license
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Required skills include cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line care and management, peripheral line care and management, starting and maintaining IVs, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, PCA, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Additional skills include chest tube management, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube care, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure management, substance withdrawal, total joint replacement, traction, accessing and managing ports, neuro stepdown, ortho trauma, PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown, peripheral nerve block catheters, and use of rapid response and code teams
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
