Med Surg RN Job in Uniontown, PA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse on the Med Surg unit at WVU Uniontown Hospital in Uniontown, PA. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 3, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,215.

Shift and Schedule

• 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required; both Saturday and Sunday count as weekend shifts
• 2 Fridays per schedule required
• Self-scheduling and blocked schedules permitted as long as unit needs are met
• Patient ratio of 1:6–7

Clinical Responsibilities

• Care for post-surgical, orthopedic, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative care, hospice, end-of-life, and chemotherapy patients
• May be assigned to both clean and dirty patient hallways simultaneously
• Manage patients on remote telemetry monitored by a monitor tech on the 3rd floor; no monitors on the unit
• Administer Heparin and comfort measures with MSO4; no cardiac drips
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy on Bipap, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Float only to other Med Surg units

Orientation and Systems

• One shift orientation with a preceptor
• Charting via Cerner
• BLS certification required

Facility Requirements

• Navy blue scrubs required; jackets must also be navy blue if worn

Assignment Terms

• Client may cancel up to 2 shifts per 13-week assignment, or 1 shift for assignments shorter than 13 weeks
