Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float required - may be floated to corresponding sister units: West 2, West 3, and Observation unit
• Patient ratios: 1:5 on days, 1:6 on nights
• 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• New York state nursing license required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Care for patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Patient diagnoses include cardiac, respiratory, infectious disease, pre and post operative, endocrine, and CVA
• PCU trained candidates will be prioritized; PCU or med surg/tele background accepted
• Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, chest tubes, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, PCA, PICC line management, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and more
