PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Rotating day, evening, and night shift schedule including weekends and holidays
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• On-call and charge responsibilities per unit needs
• Care for a diverse patient population on a mixed-acuity unit with both floor-level and an 8-bed high-acuity step-down unit
• Work with multidisciplinary teams specializing in brain tumors, spinal malformations, neuroendovascular, and epilepsy surgery
• Perform hemodynamic and neurological monitoring for complex patients
• Experience required with Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, subdural drains, 3% NS, Cardene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coiling/clips, DBS insertion, VP shunts, and seizure management
• Stepdown/PCU experience required
• High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• New York RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only), NIHSS, ACLS (American Heart Association only)
