Telemetry RN Job in Tacoma, WA

St Joseph Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Telemetry position in our Observation Unit. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 2, 2026, offering stability and clear expectations in an acute care setting.

Role and Responsibilities

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a 3x12 schedule
• Manage a 4:1 patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Provide care for boarding patients awaiting inpatient room placement
• Utilize Epic EMR for all charting
• Administer oxygen and SVN respiratory equipment as needed
• Float to similar floors within the primary facility and regional sites (Lakewood and Enumclaw, WA) with applicable rate differentials

Schedule and Support

• Every other weekend requirement
• No holiday requirement
• Standby/call requirement included
• One day of unit-specific orientation provided

Unit Resources

• Nurse Aides, Patient Sitters, and Monitor Techs available on unit
• Charge Nurse and House Supervisor present
• Laboratory staff perform lab draws
• House transporters available for X-Ray and CT transport
• In-house security available

Patient Population

You will primarily care for Medical/Surgical Telemetry patients, requiring relevant Med/Surg Telemetry experience.

Requirements

• Current Washington State RN License
• BLS Certification
• Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Navy blue scrubs required

Compensation and Assignment Details

Weekly pay is $2,272. This 91-day assignment is based at St Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, WA, with float opportunities to regional facilities as noted.
