Telemetry RN Job in Winston Salem, NC

Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Rapid Response is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Telemetry position focused on medical/surgical neuroscience care. This is a 91-week contract beginning September 21, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week
• Weekly pay: $1,883
• Work 36 or 48 hours weekly
• Every other weekend required
• Shift callouts must be made up the same week or at contract end

Role Details

• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Floating required to other Med/Surg Telemetry areas
• 36-hour unit orientation
• Care for primary neuroscience patient population including stroke, epilepsy, traumatic and non-traumatic subdural hematomas, neurosurgery patients, and other neurological diagnoses
• Navy scrubs required

Required Experience & Credentials

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year direct Med/Surg experience
• At least 2 successful prior travel contracts
• Med/Surg neuroscience experience required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Epic charting system experience

Required Skills

• IV start
• Telemetry monitoring
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Unit Information

You will work with PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR systems. The facility includes a 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU). ACLS certification is preferred.
