Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required; holidays as needed
• Float required across all facilities if needed
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers welcome
• Patient ratio of 6 patients per nurse on days, nights, and weekends
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS also required
• Must pass an EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Patient diagnoses include observation patients, respiratory conditions, general medical/surgical diagnoses, palliative/end of life/hospice patients, psychiatric observation, diabetes, and surgical patients
• Skills required include telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line blood draw, PICC line management, wound care/wound vac, heparin drip management, high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP management, and IV placement and management
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
• Unit primarily serves med/surg patient population with EKG requirement for all RNs on a tele-capable unit
