PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in a Progressive Cardiac Care Unit with 34 beds
• Patient ratios of 1:5 for PCU level and 1:6 for MST level
• Day shift staffing includes 11 PCTs and 12 RNs; Night shift staffing includes 6 PCTs and 13 RNs
• No on-call requirement
• Floating requirement within scope of practice
• EMR system used: Meditech
• Equipment includes VS machines, EKG, bladder scanning, glucometers, and continuous pulse oximetry
• Perform typical unit procedures including Foley and NGT insertions and wound care
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Preferred certifications: PCCN, TNCC, and TCAR
• Experience in ICU/PCU level of care preferred; precepting experience a plus
• Ideal candidate is flexible, adaptable, a quick learner, and maintains a positive attitude
