Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on unit need
• Floating to other med surg units may be required based on census needs
• Patient ratio of 6:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult patients with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, atrial fibrillation, and post heart cath diagnoses
• Step-down from ICU level care with no ventilators or pressor support
• Administer and manage drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation
• Telemetry monitoring required both on unit and remotely
• Skills required include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, cardiac telemetry, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), dysrhythmia interpretation and management, pre/post cardiac cath care, pre/post hemodialysis management, pacemaker management, wound care/wound vac, and tracheostomy care
• Special equipment includes peritoneal dialysis
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and pharmacy
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Tennessee nursing license required
