Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Day/night rotating shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• Work on a 39-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for cardiac, neurology, and post-operative med/surg patients
• Required to titrate drips including Heparin
• Respiratory therapy team manages all respiratory needs - no ventilators on unit
• TelePacks on the unit with rhythm interpretation completed by ICU
• Charge nurse on each shift, who may also carry a patient assignment
• Scheduling requests are accepted with flexibility for shift preferences and block scheduling when department needs allow
• Typically 2-3 days off provided when switching between night and day shifts
• Floating may be required to areas with medical patients only
• Downsizing/standby may occur
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week assignment or 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• Any scrub color accepted
• BSN not required
• Required certification: BLS
