Med Surg RN Job in Fort Defiance, AZ

Tsehootsooi Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse for its 20-bed medical surgical unit serving adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients. You will provide direct patient care in a dynamic environment that values both clinical expertise and flexibility.

Position Details:

• 12-hour day shifts with flexibility to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Staffing ratios of 4:1 typically, with a maximum of 5:1 for non-COVID patients
• 91-day assignment starting October 7, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,467

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver registered nursing care to both adult and pediatric patients
• Attend required staff meetings
• May be assigned to assist with flu immunization clinics
• May float to other departments based on your qualifications, including taking a patient load or performing task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• Minimum 3 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• Comfort working with both adult and pediatric patient populations
