Med Surg RN Job in Fort Defiance, AZ

Tsehootsooi Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse for its 20-bed medical surgical unit serving adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients. You will provide direct patient care on night shifts with schedule flexibility to cover other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Shift and Schedule:

• 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week with flex scheduling
• Night shift with willingness to work other times as unit needs require

Staffing and Patient Care:

• Typical patient ratios of 4:1, with a maximum of 5:1 for non-COVID patients
• Typical patient ratios of 2:1, with a maximum of 3:1 for COVID patients
• Care for both adult and pediatric patients on the same unit

Responsibilities:

• Deliver registered nursing care across the medical surgical unit
• Assist with flu immunization clinics in addition to inpatient duties as assigned
• Attend required staff meetings
• Float to other departments based on your qualifications, including patient load management or task-oriented support such as answering call lights and phones

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Compensation and Duration:

• Weekly pay: $2,506
• Assignment length: 112 days
• Start date: October 7, 2026
