Med Surg RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

You will work as an RN in the Medical-Surgical unit at BUMC Phoenix, located at 1111 E McDowell Rd. This is a 3x12 day shift position with an 89-day contract starting December 7, 2026. You'll earn $2,289 per week.

Your Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards
• Review patient history and physical with patient and family, ensuring completion within appropriate timeframes
• Review diagnostic and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and care team members
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans, including discharge planning based on patient-specific needs
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan as needed
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in the patient record
• Participate in unit and facility shared leadership initiatives that support nursing quality indicators and outcomes
• Float per facility guidelines as needed

Requirements:

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting, with experience in Medical-Surgical nursing within the past 12 months
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Standard precautions required due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
• Availability for varied schedule including weekends and holidays

Bachelor's degree and professional certification are preferred.
