Med Surg RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a registered nurse for a Med Surg assignment at BUMC Phoenix, located at 1111 E McDowell Rd. This is a 12-week travel position beginning December 7, 2026.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 days per week
• Weekly pay: $2,289
• Duration: 89 days
• Facility type: Acute care hospital

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards
• Review patient history and physical with patients and families; ensure timely completion
• Review diagnostics and laboratory data; report abnormal results to physicians and care team members
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care, including discharge planning based on patient needs
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching; revise the plan as needed
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and contribute to nursing quality indicators and outcomes
• Float per facility guidelines; manage varied work schedules including weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Must use standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Experience in Med Surg specialty within the past 12 months
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
