ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours per week (must be indicated on submission form)
• 13-week assignment length (must be indicated on submission form)
• Weekend hours required every third weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Float to similar or lower acuity unit as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:4 in a 61-bed Emergency Department
• EMR system: EPIC
• Scrub color requirement: Black only
• Minimum 2 years of ED/inpatient and trauma experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), NIHSS, TNCC
• Current RN license required - must be eligible for or currently licensed in the state of Missouri
• Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Utilize nursing process to provide patient care for post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities
• Work within a Level 2 Trauma Center, Level 1 Stroke (Comprehensive Stroke Center), and Level 1 STEMI Center
• Night shift orients on day shift - must be available the entire week for orientation
