Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• First to float position
• Oncology unit floating to Med Surg/Telemetry (4C)
• 30-bed unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Must be comfortable working with cancer diagnosed patients and general Med Surg/Telemetry overflow
• Telemetry skills required despite no on-unit tele, as floating to tele and med/surg floors is expected
• Charge nurse and nurse aides available on unit
• Hospitalist in-house, IV team, RT 24/7, and pharmacy 24/7 available
• Charting system: Cerner
• Common diagnoses include cancer-related conditions and general Med Surg/Telemetry overflow
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• No ventilator experience required
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Oncology certification preferred but not required
• 2 supervisory references from submitting modality required (charge accepted); 1 within 12 months and 1 within 3 years worked
• Travelers will be expected to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)
