ED RN Job in Plano, TX

Medical City Plano is seeking an RN for its 38-bed Emergency Department. You'll work a 3x12 schedule on day shifts (7 AM–7 PM) for a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 21, 2026. Weekly pay is $1,665.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ED with trauma bays, burn room, psychiatric treatment area, and vertical treatment space
• Manage patient ratios that vary by acuity and census volume
• Perform procedures for certified chest pain protocols, comprehensive stroke care, Level 1 trauma cases, and accredited burn treatment
• Operate standard emergency and trauma equipment
• Document care using the Meditech EMR system
• Cross-train at sister facility as needed (no floating requirement)

Schedule and Environment

• Three 12-hour day shifts per week
• Four weekend shifts required per month
• Self-scheduling available

Required Credentials and Certifications

• Current Texas RN licensure or compact license eligibility
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• PALS certification
• SAMA, CPI, or equivalent (30-day grace period provided if not currently held)
• ENPC certification preferred

Dress Code

• Royal blue scrubs required; branded scrubs preferred
