Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Blended PCU and Medical Surgical unit with PCU ratio of 1:4 max and MS ratio of 1:6 max
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical conditions including acute gastrointestinal, cardiac, renal, hepatic, endocrine, sickle cell, hematological, and respiratory disorders
• Sub-specialization in gynecological disorders and surgeries
• 28-bed unit with 8 progressive care beds utilizing bedside telemetry and remote telemetry with a monitor tech
• Weekend coverage required
• Float within specialty as needed
• Multidisciplinary approach to care utilizing physicians, case managers, homecare, pharmacy, PT/OT, and social work
• Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Required skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry
• Virginia or compact state license must be in hand at time of submittal
• Cannot take Christmas Eve or Christmas as requested time off
• Natural nail policy is enforced
• Candidates will float within scope if needed
