Med Surg RN Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its 12-bed inpatient Rehabilitation unit in Wausau, Wisconsin. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 21, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,521.

Shift and Schedule

• 3x12-hour shifts, primarily nights (6:00 PM to 6:30 AM)
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Eligible for up to 36 hours of low census unbillable time per contract period; low census hours available in 1-hour increments with typical 4-hour decrements

Role Details

You will work on the primary Rehab unit with potential to float to other inpatient units as needed. The rehabilitation unit serves patients with stroke, trauma, debility, amputation, and cardiac conditions. Patient ratios are 1:4–1:6 during PM shifts and 1:8 during nights.

Qualifications and Experience

• Wisconsin RN license required
• Current AHA or ARC BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical rehabilitation experience preferred, or strong medical-surgical background with inpatient hospital setting experience
• Rehabilitation knowledge required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate in nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
