Job Details:

• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Patient population: Adults to Geriatrics
• Required certification: BLS
• Work in a Medical Surgical / Remote Telemetry unit with patient diagnoses including diabetes, med/surg, post-op, wound vacs, and bariatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6; 33-bed unit with average daily census of 28
• Required charting system: Epic; additional systems include Pyxis and SBAR
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Schedule includes every other weekend coverage
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Call requirements include every other weekend and holidays as needed, including relief charge
• Expected to work major holidays that fall within assignment period
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• RTO blackout date: 9/7/2026
• No RTO can be requested during orientation week
• 24 orientation hours required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required skills include: Blood Product Administration, Chest Tubes, Colostomy/Ileostomy Management, Feeding Tube Care, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), ABG Interpretation, Isolation Precautions/PPE, IV Insulin Protocols, Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Nasal Cannula, Non-Invasive Airway Management, Oxygen Administration, PCA, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC Line Management, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal Failure Management, Starting and Maintaining IVs, Surgical Drains, Telemetry Remote Monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code Teams, and Wound Care/Wound Vac
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
• Special equipment includes lift equipment, Spectra Link phones, Rovers, and Space Labs in every room
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required
