ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with available shift times of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM, or 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
• Primary shift is 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday requirement on an A & B rotation
• No on-call or standby requirement
• No floating requirements
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1
• Work in a 19-bed emergency department with 3 trauma bays
• Manage an average of 70 to 95 patients per day
• Care for patients with common diagnoses including cardiac, GI, psych, COPD, and respiratory illness
• Manage ER holds intermixed within the emergency department
• Triage experience preferred but not required
• Utilize Paragon EMR and Allscripts charting system
• Perform or coordinate phlebotomy with both nurse draw and phlebotomy team available
• Work alongside 1 ED physician, 2 mid-levels, a charge nurse, and patient care technicians
• Respiratory therapy support available for ABGs and breathing treatments
• Telemetry monitoring available with RNs reading strips
• Portable X-ray and CT available within close proximity
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
