PCU RN Job in Altoona, PA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at West Central - UPMC Altoona, providing direct patient care across a 90-day travel assignment. This role offers a 3x12 rotating shift schedule with three 12-hour days per week, giving you structured scheduling and predictable time off.

Your responsibilities include:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care as a member of the professional care delivery team
• Manage patient care activities for assigned patient groups, exercising independent judgment and clinical reasoning
• Develop individualized plans of care using a holistic approach that addresses clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual needs
• Apply evidence-based practice and current research to support improvements in patient care
• Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives at the unit and department level
• Provide detailed education to patients and families to guide them through care episodes and transitions
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability as a full partner on the care team
• Build and maintain productive professional relationships with colleagues and partners

Requirements: Current RN license (PA Act 31, 33, 34, and 73 compliance required), BLS certification, and a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. BSN preferred.

The assignment runs for 90 days, beginning November 9, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,496.60. You'll be joining an established medical center with resources to support your clinical practice and professional growth.
