Join West Central – UPMC Altoona as a Registered Nurse in our Progressive Care Unit. This is a 90-day travel nursing position offering competitive compensation and the opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Position Details

• Weekly Pay: $2,658

Your Role

You will function as a Professional Staff Nurse and integral member of the care delivery team. Your responsibilities include managing and providing patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through independent judgment, communication, and collaboration. You will formulate daily goals and individualized plans of care for patients using a holistic approach, and demonstrate critical thinking in identifying clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual issues within an episode of care.

You will utilize research and evidence-based practice to support improvement in clinical care, actively participate in quality improvement efforts at the department and unit level, and serve as a full partner on the care team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to change. Patient and family education is essential to your role—you will provide detailed and appropriate guidance to help them through episodes of care and care transitions. You will also develop and maintain productive working relationships internally and externally.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• BLS certification
• PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, and PA Act 73 compliance
• BSN preferred
