PCU RN Job in Sun City, AZ

Banner Boswell Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a full-time travel position based in Sun City, Arizona, with possible float shifts between Boswell and Fayetteville Del Webb campuses as needed, with Boswell as your primary location.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (days)
• Duration: 89 weeks
• Start date: November 23, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,541

About the Role:

You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for PCU patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards. Your responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs. You will review patient histories and diagnostic data with patients and families, report abnormal findings to physicians, and formulate individualized care plans incorporating discharge planning.

You will implement care through direct patient management, coordination, and delegation of healthcare team activities. You will evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising plans as needed. Documentation must be accurate and timely. You will provide evidence-based care and participate in unit or facility shared leadership activities.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and stretching
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Standard precautions required due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids

Qualifications:

• Current, valid RN license required
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience required
• Experience in the specialty area within the past 12 months required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIHSS recommended but not required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
