ICU RN Job in Des Moines, IA

You will work as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. This 181-day contract position offers you the opportunity to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, critical-care environment where your nursing skills make a measurable difference.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation
• Weekly pay: $2,384
• Start date: November 2, 2026

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive critical care nursing services to intensive care patients
• Monitor and assess critically ill patients requiring intensive medical supervision
• Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology for continuous patient monitoring and treatment
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other multidisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and clinical outcomes
• Respond to emergency situations and provide rapid, life-saving interventions as needed
• Support patients and families during critical illness and recovery
