Telemetry RN Job in Nashville, TN

Join Nashville General Hospital at Meharry as a Registered Nurse on our Telemetry unit. This 91-day travel assignment runs 3x12-hour day shifts, offering you $1,952 weekly compensation with a start date of November 2, 2026.

Role Overview

You will work on a 16-bed locked incarcerated/forensic unit caring for state and local prison and jail patients. This role requires comfort and experience working with the forensic and incarcerated population. Float assignments to other Med/Surg areas, telemetry units, forensics, and inpatient units are required, with potential ICU rotations as needed.

Requirements and Certifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year RN experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, NIH, and CPI certifications required (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI)
• Cerner EHR experience required
• Pre-start EKG test mandatory—prepare accordingly

Clinical Skills and Responsibilities

You must demonstrate competency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and chemotherapy administration. Previous charge nurse experience is preferred. Interdisciplinary interpretation services are available as support.

Schedule Expectations

• 3x12-hour day shifts per week
• Weekend coverage required: 6 shifts every 6-week period
• Holiday rotation participation mandatory—you must work 3 of 6 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Strict no-call policy enforced
