Emergency Room RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Golisano Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for its Level 2 Emergency Room serving pediatric patients. This 12-hour shift role offers the opportunity to provide family-centered emergency and urgent care in a dynamic trauma center environment.

Role Overview

You will work across a 30-bed emergency department complex that includes 18 general care beds, 1 critical care bed, 4 urgent care beds, and a shared 7-bed trauma bay. The case mix ranges from treat-and-release patients to acute critical care and trauma cases. You will manage rotating day, evening, and night shifts, including weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge shifts as unit needs require. The department operates as a Level 1 pediatric trauma and burn center, providing exposure to complex pediatric emergency conditions.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of pediatric emergency department experience
• Current New York RN license
• BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
• Burn care experience highly desirable
• Preferred certifications include TNCC, ATCN, and ABLS

Assignment Details

This is a 117-day travel assignment beginning October 12, 2026. You will work 12-hour shifts with a preferred schedule of 48 hours per week. Weekly pay is $2,344.
