Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Alternating weekends required - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday every other weekend
• Rotate holidays with permanent staff
• No on-call or standby requirements
• No floating requirements
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 to 1:9 depending on staffing
• No drip titration required
• Telemetry on the unit with SCU RN monitoring and reading strips
• Charge nurse available for all shifts - designated charge on days, one of three nurses assigned charge on nights
• House supervisor available
• Nurse aides available on the unit
• RT equipment includes CPAP and BiPAP for patients with established home use
• Common patient diagnoses include COPD, CHF, total joints, hysterectomies, and general post-operative care
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• No specific scrub color required
• Unit orientation consists of Day 1 to get familiar with unit requirements, followed by two 12-hour shifts
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; travel experience preferred
• BSN not required
• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
