Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts, 3 times per week with a mixture of 0900-2130, 1100-2330, and 1200-0030 shifts
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• May float between Farmington and Bonne Terre emergency department locations
• 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted with 2 years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Required certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Scrub color: Navy
• No parking cost
• Experience with central lines, transvenous pacemaker, and chest tubes required
• Required skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, chest tube insertion/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA management, general emergency department combined adult/pediatric care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, and triage
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Emergency department sees approximately 92 visits per day with 33 beds
• Patient population includes approximately 6% psychiatric and 20% pediatric patients
• Facility stabilizes trauma patients for transport and operates as a stroke center
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, and unit secretary
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off; no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
