PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in a divided unit consisting of Intermediate Care and overflow areas
• Intermediate Care area includes 20 beds with standard intermediate care patients
• Manage high acuity patients including those requiring O2, BiPAP, trachs, and vents
• Overflow area consists of an 8-bed open unit with lower acuity intermediate care patients
• Assist in decompressing the emergency room through overflow patient management
• Facilitate patient transfers to med/surg units when beds become available
• Administer and monitor heparin, insulin, and cardiac drips for all patients
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
