SLP Job in Houston, TX

Woman's Hospital of Texas is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week travel assignment. You will evaluate speech, language, and swallowing abilities in neonatal and pediatric patients, developing evidence-based intervention plans tailored to each patient's age and developmental stage.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assess patients with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities resulting from premature birth, birth injuries, disease, or other causes
• Synthesize patient data and establish appropriate care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate intervention programs
• Float between NICU, Pediatric, and Adult units as needed
• Manage caseload-dependent patient ratios
• Document and chart using Meditech Magic/Meditech Expanse EMR systems

Required qualifications:

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
• Current Texas State License in Speech-Language Pathology
• Neonatal experience required
• Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBSS) experience required
• Pediatric and adult experience preferred

Assignment details:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. (5×8 days)
• Duration: 13 weeks, starting August 3, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,214
• No weekends or on-call responsibilities

Work environment:

• Dress code: Dark blue scrubs, bare below the elbows in NICU
• Expected to demonstrate high-functioning capabilities, strong self-motivation, and proactive approach
• Show initiative and independence while providing timely, quality patient care
