PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4x12 shift schedule with 48 weekly guaranteed hours
• Weekend hours required as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Float requirements as needed; customary float is required upon request
• 1+ years of critical care experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, EKG
• Must have experience with trachs, vents, and drips
• Patient ratio is typically 4-6:1
• Patient population is 50% medical and 50% telemetry adults only
• EMR system: EPIC
• Standard nursing equipment used on telemetry unit
• Scrub color: Black
• Night shift orients on day shift; must be available the entire week for orientation
• Up to 5 days of requested time off per 13-week period can be automatically approved
• Standard expectation of every other full weekend (Saturday and Sunday required unless otherwise approved)
• Expected to work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day)
