Emergency Department RN Job in Independence, MO

Join Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri, as a Registered Nurse in our 40+ bed Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting October 19, 2026, with a competitive weekly pay of $2,358.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ED environment, managing a patient ratio of 4:1 during high-volume periods (3 rooms and 1 hall bed). Night shift hours are 4x12, giving you structured scheduling while you deliver emergency care across diverse patient presentations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform IV starts and phlebotomy
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret EKG findings
• Operate and troubleshoot advanced equipment including cardiac monitors, ultrasound, Belmont Rapid Infuser, IO Drills, and Lifepak defibrillators
• Document patient care using the Meditech EMR system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a high-pressure setting

What You Need

Current RN licensure is required. You must hold BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI certifications. Prior experience in high-acuity or medical settings is preferred. You will thrive in this role if you demonstrate strong adaptability, excellent teamwork skills, and a positive attitude under pressure.

Additional Details

Forty-eight hours of guaranteed pay is available as an option. Day and night shifts are both available, though this assignment is posted for nights. Dress code consists of gray scrub tops with black or gray scrub bottoms, with appropriate colored T-shirts permitted under a nursing scrub jacket or hospital-approved jacket.
