Opportunity:

RN - Observation Unit

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with available schedules of 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• No holiday requirement
• Standby/call requirement may apply
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Primary assignment at main facility with potential float requirement to similar floors and regional facilities within Region Two, including locations in Lakewood, WA and Enumclaw, WA, with a rate differential when floated outside of primary location
• First to float policy applies
• Care for boarding patients waiting for inpatient room placement
• Common diagnoses include Med/Surg Telemetry patients
• RNs monitor their own telemetry strips
• Unit supports 8-16 beds with 8-16 patients per day
• Charge nurse, house supervisor, nurse aides, and patient sitters available on unit
• In-house security available
• Lab draws performed by laboratory staff
• House transporters available for X-ray and CT transport
• Oxygen and SVN respiratory equipment used on unit
• Charting system: EPIC
• Unit-specific orientation: 1 day
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Required certifications: BLS Certification, Washington State RN license
• BSN not required
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
