Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Float RN position covering Medical/Surgical Telemetry units including medical, surgical, oncology, neuro, renal, and cardiology units
• Day shift patient ratio is 1:5-6; Night shift patient ratio is 1:6; Weekend patient ratio is 1:5-6
• Every other weekend required or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule minimum (Saturday and Sunday); plus holiday rotation obligation
• No on-call required
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Float pool workers must call in to a recorded line up to 1 hour before scheduled shift start time to receive unit assignment
• Minimum of 2 years Medical/Surgical Telemetry experience required
• Past EPIC experience strongly preferred; charting system is EPIC
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA), IV start competency, and Telemetry
• Preferred certifications: NIHSS
• Required skills include: central line care and management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry and remote monitoring, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, wound care, isolation precautions and PPE, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Special equipment required: lift devices (training provided), ceiling lifts, and bladder scanner
