Job Details:

• Telemetry/Step-Down unit position working with adult patients
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 on days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• Travel experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Telemetry/Step-Down experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Relias EKG test is required
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Will float within service line to meet facility needs
• No on-call required
• No block scheduling available
• Maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
• Guaranteed hours provided
• Required skills include: cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, EKG interpretation, cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, central line care/management, PICC line management, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, accessing/managing ports, pacemaker/temporary/permanent management, chest tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, wound care/wound vac, phlebotomy, and pre/post cardiac cath and surgery procedures
• Common patient diagnoses include CHF, arrhythmias, A-fib/A-flutter, ACS-STEMI/NSTEMI, heart valve disease, CAD, pulmonary hypertension, hypertensive crisis, chest pain, syncope, pacemaker/AICD malfunction, and acute renal failure
• Special procedures performed on unit include cardiac catheterization, pacemaker/AICD placement, echocardiogram, stress testing, cardiac MRI/CT, cardioversion/ablation, and pulmonary function testing
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
