Med Surg RN Job in Morgantown, WV

You'll work as a Registered Nurse on a 22-bed orthopedic/telemetry unit at WVU JW Ruby Memorial Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma facility. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 7, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week on a weekend rotation (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday)
• Every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule required
• Holidays worked as scheduled; travelers are expected to participate in holiday rotations
• Weekly pay: $2,224
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract

Your Role

You'll care for patients with common diagnoses including orthopedic joints, replacements, and fractures. A patient ratio of 1:5–6 with 3 CNAs per shift supports your workflow. You'll have access to a charge nurse available 24/7 and will receive 1–2 shifts of unit-specific orientation.

Clinical Details

• Strong orthopedic experience required, including total joint replacements (not just fractures)
• RNs are not required to titrate drips or read telemetry strips
• RT and equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen are available as needed
• You may float to units 7E, 7W, 10W, and 10E
• Charting system: EPIC
• Royal blue scrubs required
• BLS certification required
